For the perfect fringe 'use a round hair brush'
One of the hottest hair styles for the season is a fringe, it has emerged.
Top London hair stylist Karine Jackson told Easier how to achieve the perfect fringe, using such tools and a round hair brush and a hairdryer.
The most important aspect to look at when choosing your fringe style is face shape, Ms Jackson said.
A small face benefits from a short and choppy fringe, a round face can be lengthened by a long and textured fringe, while a more severe face shape should opt for a sweeping style, she explained.
Those seeking a straight fringe should "always aim the hairdryer down the hair shaft but don't move the hair too much, as this will create body," she remarked.
She added that a round hair brush is ideal for creating "a flick" by putting the heat of the dryer on hair rolled around a brush, then removing the dryer while the hair cools.
A person should never "use a fringe to hide behind", according to Ms Jackson, but should instead "use it to bring out your best features".
In related news, Schwarzkopf & Henkel claimed last week that the global market for hair colour products is set to grow.
